You pay only for your own monitoring. The subscription covers the devices you enroll. Watching someone else in your group, browsing their history, and handling their incidents cost nothing, so anyone can join a group to hold a friend accountable without a subscription and without ever enrolling a device.

Anchors never pay either. Someone who only receives escalations does not even need an account.
